Leogang
The hotels are all run by their owners who will welcome you and make you feel at home as well as sharing their knowledge of the area with you. From Leogang you can go up to the mountains via the Asitzbahn where you can test out the bike park, take a hike through the mountains or more leisurely stroll. The middle station of the Asitzbahn is home to the Sinne Erlebnis (sensory experience) park where you can test your senses (see Doing More for details) Breathe in the clean mountain air as you enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains and the valleys or stop for a drink or meal at one of the mountain restaurants.
There is plenty to do in resort as well as on the mountain. There is an outdoor pool with a slide, a go karting track, tennis and minigolf as well as walks and cycle routes along the river. Leogang is one of oldest mining towns in the region and there is a mining museum in Hutten nearby, a schnapps distillery and the Kristallkellar with its minerals and carved articles.

Again this year in Saalfelden, things are getting sporty. From the 2nd – 5th of September, 2010, the Tri-Motion is taking place for the 5th annual time. And as in the previous years, highly motivated athletes will experience a frenzied atmosphere in Saalfelden, Maria Alm and Maishofen alongside many enthusiastic people in the crowd.

Hobby Mountainbikers from all over the world get ready to fight for the medals at the 12th World Games of Mountain Biking in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Around a thousand bikers determine the Amateur World Champion in the disciplines Marathon, Cross Country, Downhill and Freeride-Eliminator.
