There are various villages along the valley starting with Schoenberg and finishing at the foot of the Stubai Glacier ski lift at the village of Mutterberg. The first village in the valley is Schoenberg and you travel along the valley as far as Mutterberg from where you can access the glacier.   

The Stubai glacier is Austria's largest glacier skiing area. Take the Stubai Glacier Cableway (Stubai Gletscherbahn)cable car from Mutterberg up to over 3000m to the top of the glacier (Top of Tirol) for an amazing panoramic view.  On a clear day you can see for hundreds of kilometres across not only the Stubai valley and the Zillertal, but even as far as the Dolomites and the Limestone Alps.

There are many activities you can try during your stay - mountain biking, hiking, rafting, canyoning, nordic walking , golf, paragliding, horseriding as well as skiing or snowboarding (from 19th September). There's a leisure centre in Neustift called the Freizeit zentrum with an indoor pool, 72m long water slide, saunas, steam room and massage therapists. The centre also has a bowling alley, shooting range and a cafe/restaurants. Reduced entrance prices to the pool with the visitors card. The Stubai leisure park in Fulpmes - Telfes also has an indoor pool with waterslide, sauna zone , separate infants pool and cafe/restaurant.
