Another first for Zenith Holidays

Zenith Holidays is the first UK tour operator to have all its resort staff taught Emergency Life Support by the London Ambulance Service.

All of our resort staff embarked on the London Ambulance Service’s (in conjunction with the British Heart Foundation) Heartstart Course – which teaches members of the public Emergency Life Support skills: the set of actions needed to help keep someone alive until professional help arrives.

Taught by fully qualified London Ambulance Service personnel, the course has been taken up by such institutions as Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament.  The first UK tour operator to sign up to the course, all Zenith Holiday’s resort staff have now been trained in what to do in the event of a life-threatening emergency involving adults, children and infants.  Subjects covered in the course include:

  • Assessing an unconscious patient
  • Emergency Life Support (ELS)
  • Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Recovery Position
  • Defibrillation familiarisation (AED)
  • Choking
  • Bleeding

Providing this course to all our resort staff – from drivers to chefs to chalet hosts and resort managers – gives us another way of delivering excellent customer service experiences, even in first aid and emergency life support.
