Area 47
Just back from a visit to Austria and we have been looking at some summer options to add to our program - Area 47 looks like an outdoor paradise...........
Area 47 is an idyllic choice for the active holiday maker.
The area presents probably the most sporty 20,000 square metres you can imagine.
The Water area
There is a swimming lake, a thrilling waterside park - see pictures - a diving platform, beach volleyball and beach football as well as a Venice beach style gym.
The more adventurous can try the water ramp - be that on skis, board or on a bike.
There is a new (to me) activity called Blobbing where you clamber on to an inflatable and then others jump on the other end to bounce you off and into the water - and you attempt a graceful twist or flip or similar as you arc to the water!
The Climbing options
Area 47 is great for climbers - clamber and balance on the High Rope Course or test yourself on the giant clinmbing wall - see opposite.
There are also excellent descent options with the Mega Swing and the Flying Fox - a 350m descent.
Other Activity Options
There are rafting options on the Otztaler Ache or the Inn river as well as canyoning in the gorges.
And, of course, there is mountain biking routes aplenty and 380km of hiking trails to enjoy.
