The summer of success on 2 wheels continued yesterday with a Brit winning the Tour of Britain for the first time.....we were on hand to cheer the teams away from the start of stage 8 at Reigate.........

Britain is celebrating it's first win in the Tour of Britain for 19 years this week thanks to Jonathan Tiernan-Locke. The race ended yesterday in Guildford and the final stage was won by Mark Cavendish with a surge across the cobbles to the finishing line.

So it seems only fitting that our activity of the week should be cycling.

Whether you want to cycle in the mountains or along the side of a river, Zenith feature cycles tours for everyone.

Family cycling:

If you are travelling with young children, we have several cycling holidays that are ideal.

The bike and boat options offer the flexibility of not having to cycle each day and offer accessible cyling for the family as it travels along canal paths.

The green lanes of Jersey and Guernsey offer excellent options for a single hotel based cycling tour - we offer different daily routes and the gradients are ideal for the family cycle tour.

Long weekend cycling trip

Accessibility is key here and we have several that will work well. We can offer long weekends in the channle islands or 4 day tours in Austria, France or Italy.

Grand Tour

We have several favourites but my current gem is the islands tour in Croatia.

Based on a boat, you sail between the islands and then cycle the islands.....its a gem1 It does book up fast but, as I type, all S13 dates have availability - see Istria tour

Bike & Boat tours

Possibly the most idyllic of cycling options, make the boat your hotel. Cycle through the day and your accommodation will cruise down the river to meet you at the end of your ride - dine, relax and sleep ready for the next day...repeat for a week!

Options in France, Austria, Croatia and Italy - a favourite cyling option of ours - see opposite for the tours - numbers 2,6 and 9 in our top 10 so got to be a good option!

Bike Parks & Mountain biking

We offer a range of destinations that are ideal for the biking enthusiast.

Alpe D'Huez holds several biking events each year - one of the most popular is the Mega-avalance (image opposite). Its not for the faint hearted!

The resort is ideal for road biking too.....with the Tour de France coming along in 2013 (the centenary) it will be a big occasion. Our chalets have sold out for this week but the 21 bends will be there for you all summer long....if you dare!
