King of Holidays
I attended a television recording of a new series called "King of" on Tuesday as one of the topics was King of Holidays.......
The recording took place at the BBC TV centre on Wood lane but it was a recording for the C4 programme - good use of "our" BBC studios to contract the time out and keep the licence fee down!
The concept of the program is that Claudia Winkleman (the host and, apparently, it was her original idea) throws out a topic and generates a debate as to what is, for example, the best car (Maserati), phone(iphone), domestic appliance (sandwich maker), or holidays (anything from Zenith Holidays!!)
The answers in brackets are my opinion and, in this show, all opinions count but only Claudia's is correct.........or so it seemed!
Guests for the show were Sarah Millican (comedienne) and Chris Evans....needs no further introduction, I am sure.
Only problem with the show was that when they covered king of holidays, it was evident that neither Sarah nor Claudia were keen on ski holidays or any type of active holidays (mad people!!) so they were not taken by the idea of blokarting in Jersey........could have done with Chris Evans on the 1st half of the show - we might have persuaded him
Blokarting can be done in Jersey - the Blo-Kart landsailer is a portable, wind-powered go-kart designed in New Zealand.
