News From The Resort Teams - January 2012
Welcome from the teams in resort! With Christmas & New Year out of the way, welcome to our resort teams.
This year in Morzine we have Rosie running our chalet, and Sammie running our resort operations. Friends from University, they are looking forward to a sporty season ahead of them.
In Alp D’huez, Kirsteen, our resort rep is working with Pete returning to Chalet Paulette, Leah running chalet Hermione & Wilf running Chalet Louis.
In Serre Chevalier, Paul is taking a year off from his medical professional background, to work as our resort rep, Jimmie has returned to assist Will in Chalet Amandier & undertake the majority of our transfers & Myles has returned to run Chalet Ridon with new colleague Katie.
In Montgenevre, our kitchen team is headed up by Pete, assisted by Alec & Zoe is overseeing our resort operations.
So, what’s new at the end of this week?
Well, in Serre Chevalier, its been a sunny week and there are excellent on-piste conditions. The snow-park has been built up further with beginner, blue and red routes all now open. The British army ski competition has brought lots of talented skiers to Serre Chevalier, to be seen practising throughout the resort
Kirsteen reports that the Ski Cross festival last week in Alpe d’Huez was fun to watch, beautiful blue sky’s and amazing snow conditions. Any fans of French Comedy should note that the National comedy festival is currently taking place with many large outside venues.
Further south, Zoe reports that Montgenevre has been the perfect picture location this week with all the sunshine we have had and all the white snow still on the ground. There has been an exciting poker tournament on locally over the last couple of day which has brought some media attention to the resort; Pete obviously had far too much time on his hands at University as he came a very credible 10th out of over 300 participants!
