Not long until the Tour de France 2011 starts
With less than 5 weeks to go before the start of this years Tour de France accommodation is in high demand!
The Tourist Office in Serre Chevalier has reported a surge in demand for accomodation for the dates the tour will be there . It arrives on July 21st when it will first pass through Briancon and the Serre chvealier vallee before finishing on the top of the Col du Galibier. At 2645m this is the highest finish point the tour has ever seen.
The next day the tour departs from Modane for the 19th stage and comes back over the col on the way to Alpe D'huez and the famous 21 hairpin bends.
