Inevitably, January sees a number of events taking place across our programs – details can be seen at Events
A highlight may well be in Italy’s Cortina d'Ampezzo where some of Europe's top ice sculptors will be transforming massive blocks of ice into works of art. The International Festival of Snow Sculpture is one of the leading events of its ilk and the sculptors will be carving to come out on top. The competition runs from 19th – 22nd Janaury and, if you want to be there – see our accommodation options.
The sculptures will be on display along the Corso Italia....probably for a while as they will take a while to melt!
Staying in Cortina for the moment, the resort will also stage its 5th annual Snowkiting event. The competition runs from 26th – 29th January and takes place on the slopes of Passo Giau. Other snowkiting competitions can be seen in Serre Chevalier from 7th January to 15th January.
