2011 Tour De France starts today
Today sees the start of the 98th Tour de France which is made up of 21 stages covering a total of 3430.5 km. Today the riders will cover 191.4km starting in Passage du Gois in the vendee and finishing at Mont des Alouettes.
It should be an interesting tour this year - Watch out for Bradley Wiggins (UK) - he could well get a podium finish this year
Will Alberto Contador be able to retain his title? or will he be too tired after his recent victory in the Italian Giro? It could be a good year for Andy Schleck who is probably Contadors biggest contendor for the yellow jersey!
We still have accommodation available in Serre Chevalier if you'd like to see the Tour de France when it finishes there on 21st July although our chalets and apartments in Alpe D'Huez have sold for that week - there is one left for the Mega-avalance week, if you are heading that way next week.
