Countdown to Winter
With the arrival of the summer solstice last Thursday, the days will start getting shorter now (which is a shame) but the arrival of the 2012/13 ski season will be getting closer (which is great)......
If you have not yet started your planning for the W12/13 ski season, that is, I guess, only to be expected but if you are looking to travel at New Year or during the February half term holidays, the availability is beginning to get restricted and, more importantly, the flight prices for these weeks are beginning to soar........
Where to go for a ski Holiday in 12/13?
Inevitably, it depends on what you are looking for....but here are some thoughts....
Early season:
You will be well advised to go for a high resort. Stubai in Austria is on a glacier and opens in October so this is an excellent option. A week starts at £465pp on half board. Can also offer apartments and short breaks - just call us.
Other options include Pitztal and Les Deux Alpes.
Christmas and New Year:
New year week is filling up quite quickly but there are still some good options/prices for Christmas.
Christmas week in a catered chalet in Alpe D'Huez starts at £673pp based on caterd board and return Eurotunnel crossings.
Self catered apartments in Montgenevre start at £866 based on a family of 4 (£216.50pp)

Booking in June and July will provide some of the best prices with the range of early booking offers around. Also, if you are intending to fly, securing the flights now, will ensure the rates are reasonable.

February half term holidays
For those of you who are stuck with this week because you are a teacher or you have children, I do understand......seeking out the best deals for this sometimes means looking somewhere a little different!
