MS Kalipsa
Bike & Boat Holiday - Island hopping Croatia
The MS Kalipsa (built in 1952) is a classic motor glider, which was renovated in 2004.
Enjoy your holiday on the generous sun deck with deck chairs, the lounges at fore and aft as well as on open air dining room
Accommodation on board
11 cabins are on deck, 1 cabin under deck.
3 cabins have French beds as well as a 1 person
berth (3-bed possible), the others are
equipped with bunk beds.
All cabins on deck are equipped with shower
and toilet and all benefit from an English speaking bike guide - escorting you to some of the most beautiful places on the islands
Catering on board
Every day ample breakfast with fresh bread, butter, jam, cereals, yoghurt, a glass of fresh orange juice as well as varying sorts of sausages, cheese and different dishes of eggs.
Lunch OR Dinner is served daily on board. All dishes are freshly prepared on board.
(Depending on the day/route you have the possibility to enjoy the specialities of the country in different restaurants on the islands)
Where are we going?
Saturday
Arrival/Island Krk – 18 km by bike. Arrival at the harbor Opatija till 11 o'clock – boarding till 12 o'clock. Lunch on board. On the way to Krk you have the first chance to get in contact with the ship and the crew. After arriving in Krk (the biggest of the Kavarner Islands) you can start a leisurely cycle tour from Malinksa to the main village Krk (about 80% new and asphalted cycling routes.)Sunday
Krk –Dobrinj – Vrbnik - Punat (about 38 km bike)
Through Macchia and fig woods cycling tour to Dobrinj. Passing vine yards you reach the museum town Vbrnik - the home of the yellow Zlahtina vine.
Further on to the nature harbor of Punat, where the ship anchors during the night.
Monday
Island Rab (about 22km or 43 km bike) During breakfast ship cruise to the island Rab. From Lopar you cycle via a sandy bay – not typcial for croatia - to Rab. Lunch on board - afterwards possibility for a cycling tour through the nature reserve "dundo wood" - or visit the old town of Rab. The ship stays over night at the harbour of Rab.
Tuesday
Island Pag (about 22 km or 35 km bike);By ship to pag, starting the cycle tour in Lun – famous for its stone walls and old Olivetrees – to Novalja (about 22 km), where you have the possibility to go on board or cycle to Mandre. From Mandre the ship crosses over to Molat.
Wednesday
Island Molat and Losinj (about 19 km or 39 km bike) From Molat – the smallest and of course most romantic island during this holidays - round tour to Zapuntel and further on via lonesome bays back to the ship. Lunch on board. Afterwards cross over to Losinj. Possibility to cycle to Veli Losinj and further on to Cikat or visit the town Mali Losinj
Thursday
Island Losinj and Island Cres (about 20 or about 45 km bike) Cycling tour in direction to Cres. In Osor you have the possibility to go on board or you cycle on to the fishing town Martinsciva, where the ship stays over night.Friday
Istrien & Opatija (about 20 km or about 30 km bike) During breakfast crossing to Moschenicka Draga. Cycling tour along the coast roads to Bresc. Time for a stop to enjoy the small city. Either the same way back or with the guide (the more difficult way) to SV Jelena back to M.Draga and to the ship. Lunch on board - crossing of the ship to Opatija where you stay the last night on board. Enjoy the evening on the about 12 km long seafront. Saturday, disembarkation and individual journey home Daily route All bikes and ship routes depend on the weather. It may come to short term route changes by the guide and the Captain.What's included in the prices

Other bits to budget for are the harbour fees at €20 (has to be paid locally) and transfers from the airport - we can arrange this for you ir preferred.
