Summer holidays at Le Cristal d'Argentiere
There are 65 apartments in the 6-storey residences (with lifts) ranging from studios for 2/3 people up to 3 bedroom apartments sleeping up to 10 people. The residence has a communal lounge with a fireplace and an indoor heated pool (free of charge). There's a spa suite offering various beauty treatments (see doingmore for more details on these and prices) and some apartments have a sauna (€8/session or €39 for 7 sessions).
Prices include self catered apartment, bed linen, towels and end of stay cleaning (you need to leave the kitchen area clean). Other services such as a mid stay clean or beds made on arrival are available for a supplement.
The residence has wifi available in reception (pay locally) a left luggage facility (free). Reception also loan out cots and high chairs for children under 2 (subject to availability). Car parking is available at £28 per week.

Fête de la Musique is the celebration that takes place every summer solstice on 21st June in cities, towns and villages across France – Chamonix being no exception! More than a music festival, the Fête de la Musique is a free event that spills out from the bars and restaurants onto the streets and encompasses every type of music imaginable, from local amateur teen bands to professional classical musicians, from club DJ’s to traditional folk bands.

Each year during the middle of August the Chamonix valley celebrates the history of its mountain guides and their courageous achievements. Over a 4 day period the Guide Company (La compagnie des Guides) and the event sponsors put on a variety of attractions to raise money and awareness for the guides and to award those with outstanding achievements, as well as remembering those who lost their life on the mountain.
