Ski Holidays at La Mongie

Beneath the towering Pic du Midi, the ski area of the Grand Tourmalet resort extends from Bareges to La Mongie on each side of the Col du Tourmalet.

There is access to 103 individual pistes, served by 43 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in La Mongie itself (120km of pisted ski runs), the resort is directly linked by Ski Lift to the ski areas of Barèges.

The domain provides an excellent combination of vast open bowls, tree lined runs and some exceptional off piste. It even hosted the downhill world skiing championships in 1986.

The Tour de France has given the Col du Tourmalet legendary status as one of the more difficult mountain stages of the tour.
