Ski Holidays in Les Carroz D'Araches
Les Carroz d'Araches is a charming traditional french resort set at the foot of the Grand Massif ski area. The village caters well for families and non-skiers alike and has a lovely traditional feel to the village.
Les Carroz d'Araches is family and child-friendly, offering services and facilities for children (day-care centres, ski kindergartens and tobbogan areas - however these are french run).
Skiing & Boarding in Les Carroz d'Araches
The Grand Massif has an excellent snow record, and the skiing ranges from the wide open high altitude runs above Flaine to the tree lined runs taking you into the lower altitude villages.
Les Carroz D'Araches is linked to Samoens, Flaine, Morillon and Sixt-Fer-a-Cheval and offers 265kms of runs in total.
Nearby Flaine is a unique place in the resort itself you will find works of arts by Picasso, Jean Dubuffet and Victor Vasarely.The cultural centre hosts exhibitions with work of regional and international artists and it also houses a library.

The resort offers a range of extra activities for the family and any non skiers. In particular Les Carroz d'Araches is a great place for those wishing to try snow-shoeing and cross country skiing. Whether you wish to hire a guide or follow the clearly defined paths - you will find some lovely paths and areas to explore.
In the village there is ice skating, dog sledding, ski joering (being pulled on skis by a horse) as well as the usual bars and shops. In it's high altitude sister resort Flaine there is ice-driving (on quad bikes), bowling and a cinema....see more
