Ski Holidays in Les Gets
Part of the huge Portes du Soleil ski area, Les Gets, is a great choice for the family ski break.
There are two ski areas to explore from Les Gets; The Chavannes and its links with Morzine and the quiet pistes of Mont Chery. The two areas are linked by a short tourist train (a sure favourite with the kids!). From the Chavannes you can ski across and explore the Pleney and Nyon areas of Morzine or head down to the mini train & across town to the Super Morzine lift, linking up to Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes du Soleil. The full area pass covers 12 different resorts, 195 lifts and 266 pistes.
Doing More in Les Gets
There are a number of fun activities available including snowshoeing, paragliding, night sledging, skidoos, huskie rides, ice climbing, ski joering, glacier walks, helicopter trips and heli skiing. For families there is an outdoor ice rink.The resort has the French stamp of approval with its Famille Plus label.
The resort has all the amenities you could need and expect from a town, including supermarkets, cash machines, restaurants and bars. There are of course ski shops, ski schools and a tourist office.
