Orelle
Offering quick and easy access to the slopes of Val Thorens, and therefore the whole of the legendary three valleys area, Orelle is generally mentioned in passing when discussing the 'fourth valley'. Located over the 'top right corner' of the Val Thorns main ski bowl, Orelle is an ideal resort for self drive guests, who know a good deal when they see one. The gondola takes just 15 minutes to reach the Orelle/Val Thorens ski area.Arguably apartment accommodation within the three valleys has become expensive and shabby, not here. We work with some fantastic quality apartments which are all tastefully decorated and well appointed . Comfortably furnished, with good room dimensions, if you are a keen skier, or skiing family, this has to be your best choice.
The high speed Orelle cable car & then choice of chair lifts, can take you from Orelle to the Val Thorens skiing in a little under 10 minutes. Then where you ski for the rest of your day is up to you, will it be the 160kms offered in Orelle and Val Thorens, the 300kms of piste offered in the Bellville valley, down as far as Les Menuires and St Martin de Belleville, or the full 600km option, allowing you access to the full Meribel and Courchevel valleys?
Orelle, the resort, is a collection of 8 small hamlets, the cable car is located in Francoz and the accommodation we work with, the 'Hameau des Eaux' apartments are located a 15 minute walk or 3 minute drive from the lift station (where there is plenty of parking).
The Hameau des Eaux apartments offer all the usual facilities you'd expect from an apartment complex (bar, restaurant, convenience shop etc) however, its defining feature has to be the Spa and wellness centre. Over 200m squared of space to relax and be pampered in. Exactly what's needed after a hard day on the slopes!
Orelle is not for you if you are expecting glitz and entertainment; there are a couple of small bars within the resort, a convenience shop, and that is pretty much it. However, the Tourist Office organises a weekly events programme which includes information talks on the local area, children's activities and local history. The Hameau des Eaux is often the centre of these activities, so very convenient for our guests.

Pre Departure
