A traditional original village, newer comfortable accommodation developed in keeping with the surroundings, family friendly and a selection of pistes for all levels, what more could you ask for on a great family holiday?
Benefitting from its own little micro climate, Puy St Vincent enjoys snow sure slopes with more than average numbers of sunshine days over the winter months. Additionally, overlooking the valley of Vallouise and staring straight up towards the Ecrins glaciers, the views really will take your breath away.
The original village is situated at an altitude of 1400m, the main commercial centre of the resort is at 1600m, and our properties are located piste side and ski to door at 1800m.
Doing More on holiday at Puy St Vincent
Whilst skiing and snowboarding would be the main reasons to visit, other mountain activities exist, including 40km of cross-country trails meandering through the forests between 1400m-2000m. Also 20km of hiking trails are available throughout the winter months too.
Puy St Vincent is part of the Grand Galaxie ski area which includes neighbouring Pelvoux- Vallouise, Serre Chevalier, Montgenevre, Les Deux Alpes, and Alpe d'huez. Whilst the 75km of marked ski runs will happily keep you busy during your stay, if you decided to self drive to Puy, take advantage of the fact that a lift pass of 6 days or more gives you access to a day's skiing in one of these resorts too.
Naturally, 'traditional' après ski activities are also on offer including 2 ice rinks, sledging, paragliding, snowmobiles etc etc. If all of this sounds far too tame for you, it is also possible to try out a popular local activity of ice climbing up waterfalls!!
In recognition of its family friendliness Puy St Vincent has been awarded the French 'Family Plus' label to recognise the resort as a child friendly holiday option.
