Samoëns is an authentic Savoyard village with a traditional age-old atmosphere. There is real warmth about the village with traditional bars and restaurants abound and the resort also holds the "Family Plus" label.
Access to the slopes from the village takes just 8 minutes via "The Grand Massif express" linking you to the Grand Massif area which is the fourth-largest ski area in France The area links five other resorts (Samoëns, Morillon, Six Fer a Cheval, Flaine and Les Carroz d'Araches) with 265 kms of runs and 141 runs.
Thanks to its geographical location, the Grand Massif enjoys abundant, regular snowfalls throughout the season, and the area is well known for the quality of the snow in spring.
The Grand Massif features some exceptional spots with The Combe de Gers, The blue Cascade and The Marvel piste.
