Serre Chevalier is a group of 13 villages stretching along the valley between the Lauteret and Briancon passe in the southern French alps, at the entrance to the Ecrins national park.

If you arrive from Grenoble, over the Col du Lauteret, the first village you'll reach is Monetier Les Bains – which, as the name suggests, is a spa village.
The final town at the far end is Briancon which, at 1200m above sea level, is the highest town in Europe, boasting more than 300 days sunshine a year. The old part of Briancon is a fortified town built by Vauban and is now protected by Unesco.
The resort offers a wide range of activities for the whole family, so you can enjoy the fresh air all day long.
Guests fond of a little pampering will certainly appreciate the Thalassoforme space with its sauna, Jacuzzis and herbal essence baths. Situated in Villeneuve there are various different packages available or you can book separate treatments. Monetier Les Bains, has natural thermal waters which are heated to 45 degrees and the healing properties of the waters have been around since before the Romans . The river Guisane which meanders through the valley takes it’s name from the word “Aquisana” which means “healing water”
