Chalet Vauban

Chalet Vauban is a unique spacious Serre Chevalier chalet tucked away in the charming mountain village of Fontchristianne, yet only a few minutes’ drive from Briancon centre where there are shops, restaurants, bars and the Prorel gondola giving direct access to the slopes. In a private setting, this 4 bedroom chalet is surrounded by beautiful gardens, magnificent views and scenery. 

The chalet is well-equipped for your holiday with a sauna, outdoor hot tub, private-walled terrace, huge gardens  of 300 square metres and parking for several cars. The house also has an equipment storage room for skis, boards, sports equipment and kayaks.

Ground Floor : 

Entrance to the Briancon chalet is through a large set of double doors leading into the hallway. There is direct access to the kitchen, living/dining area, stairs, bedroom one and a few steps down to the sauna and shower room.

Living/Dining Area:

A spacious room with a wonderfully vaulted ceiling. Two sofas and two armchairs comfortably seating 12 people, a large astra satelite TV, DVD player and an open log fire. There is a dining table seating 12 people as well as a highchair on request. French doors lead out onto a small patio area with steps leading up to the garden.

Kitchen:

The kitchen is fully equipped with a four burner hob/oven, which is the focal point of the room, a dining table for 6-8 people, dishwasher, large fridge freezer and microwave. Double doors open to the front patio area.

Utility Room:

This leads off the kitchen with washing machine, clothes dryer, WC and hand basin. There is also a rack for drying clothes.

Bedroom One:

One double and one single bed with window looking out onto the front patio area.

Sauna:

Down a couple of steps, off the main hallway, the shower room leads to the sauna and this opens out on the outdoor jacuzzi for exclusive use by the Briancon chalet's guests . There is also a private walled terrace/patio area, a garden with table and chairs, a BBQ and space to park several cars

Upper Floors : 

A curved stairway leads up to the first floor landing of the Briancon chalet where there are two bedrooms, bathroom and WC.

Bedroom Two:

One double bed and one single bed with shared balcony adjoining to bedroom three.

Bedroom Three:

One double bed with shared balcony adjoining to bedroom two.

Bathroom:

Bath with shower, washbasin and separate WC.

The Briancon chalet has its master bedroom on the 2nd floor with stairs to a mezzanine housing an additional single bed.

Bedroom Four:

One double bed and one single bed with ensuite bath and double washbasin. Mezzanine with one single bed. Please note the stairs to the Mezzanine are not suitable for young children or the elderly. 

The Serre Chevalier chalet is available either on a self-catered basis or with flexible catering options tailored to your requirements. Airport transfers are included in the price, as well as providing a complementary shuttle to and from the slopes each day.
