Ski Holidays in Serre Chevalier
Serre Chevalier is located in the Southern French Alps and is a jewel of a ski area. Appreciated by many including the Editors of Where to Ski & Snowboard (who rate Serre Chevalier as one of their favourite places), the skiing in Serre Chevalier is a delight, a challenge and a pleasure.
Serre Chevalier is a group of 13 villages running from Briancon to Monetier and boasts a ski area with 80% of its slopes over 2000m. The ski area offers an exopansive area for skiers and snowboarders alike and there are plenty of tree lined slopes which help make the resort as stunning to look at as to ski in.
Winter 11/12 updates for Serre Chevalier
Last winter 2011/12 saw further additions to our options in the ski resort of Serre Chevalier. Alongside our catered chalets - the Ridon - we also have a range of self catered chalets, apartments and hotels and all benefit from the access to the pre-eminent ski area of Serre Chevalier.
Ski Holidays in Serre Chevalier all benefit from airport transfers being included as standard from either Turin or Grenoble airports.
Also new for winter 11/12 was the naming convention of Serre Chevalier vallee - we hope they did not spend lots of money on the re-brand as we suspect that we will all still call it Serre Che but it will still be a great ski resort.

All the villages are linked by one ski area – the Grand Serre Chevalier. The old town of Briancon is a fortified town built by Vauban and is now protected by Unesco. Extra activities in resort - Ice rink, ski doo, ice driving track, indoor swimming pool, Spa (sauna, jacuzzi, massages etc), Paragliding school, Riding school, Cinéma.The new thermal baths in Monetier Les Bains, has natural thermal waters which are heated to 45 degrees and the complex has lots of different spa facilities designed to help you relax (see Doing more...)
W2010/11 sees the addition of a new 6 man chair lift which will improve the system in Villeneuve/Monetier and there will also be some more snow cannons on Chantemerle. More than 80% of the ski area is above 2000m which means that the area is snow sure from mid December through to end of April.
