Whether you choose Pinzolo or Madonna di Campiglio as the base for your ski holiday, there is a large ski area to be enjoyed now that the Pinzole ski area has been linked into the resorts of Madonna di Campiglio which means that Madonn, Folgarida, Marrileva and Pinzol offer a linked up area of 150km
Pinzolo is a charming village in the Brenta Dolomites and its iconic image is the 14th century church which is at the heart of the village.
The ski area is large (see below) but for beginners, Pinzolo offers an excellent base and excellent value accommodation
The Ski area of Pinzolo
The Campigglio Val Rendena Val Di Sole ski area is the largest in the Trentino region and is situated in the heart of the Brenta Dolomites. The lift system connects Pinzolo in Val Rendena with Madonna di Campiglio and Val di Sole.
For the boarders amongst you, the area boasts 4 snow parks with the one in Madonna being rated in the top 5 snow parks of the Alps
So on 1 ski pass, you will get access to 62 lifts and 93 ski runs – 44 blue, 35 red and 14 black and over 150km of skiing
Ski Holidays to Pinzolo by train
Getting to your ski resort by train is often a cost effective option as you will not suffer hefty baggage charges for the hold bag or for your ski equipment.
Getting to Italy is best done by taking the Eurostar to Paris (departs from St Pancras or Ashford) and then taking the Paris to Verona train.
