With plenty of opportunity for relaxing, this excellent kayak adventure allows you to explore the beautiful archipelago of the Elaphiti Islands and also offers some hiking to cycling, as well as the chance to visit Dubrovnik.

A fantastic activity holiday for families and friends alike. Open to children from 8 years up, and with no previous experience needed, this is an ideal option for active families and adults.

This tour mainly involves kayaking but there is plenty of free time to make the most of the spectacular beaches and history.

The Elaphiti Islands are an Archipelago of 13 small islands covered by pine forests and sandy beaches less than an hour's sailing time from Dubrovnik.

  • Itinerary & prices - see below
  • Getting here - transfers included from Dubrovnik airport

  • Day 1 - Saturday: Arrival at Dubrovnik Airport and transfer to Lopud Island

Arrival into Dubrovnik Airport and transfer to Lopud Island by bus and boat. Accommodation in a house very near the beach and waterfront on the main street of the little town of Lopud.

There will be time to enjoy a swim in the sea and walk to Fort Kastio on the island’s highest peak for a wonderful view of the sunset over the Elaphiti Islands.

A tour of Lopud pubs and cafes will take place before and after dinner.

  • Day 2 - Sunday: Sea kayaking Lopud to Sipan Island, cycling Sipan

A safety briefing will take place on the sandy beach of Lopud.

The first trip starts in the morning to the nearby Island of Sipan. Sipan has many colourful villages including Sudjuradj and Luka Sipanska. The fields between them have preserved the real country lifestyle with chapels, monasteries, palaces and summer houses of ancient Dubrovnik aristocracy aplenty.

This island is unbelievably rich in cultural heritage, tales from the past and well preserved monuments that witnessed its turbulent history. You can explore them by walking or cycling and there will be plenty of time to relax on the beaches or in cafes. We will return to Lopud late in the afternoon.

    Breakfast included.

  • Day 3 - Monday: Sea kayaking & snorkeling Lopud Island

The kayaks will take us around the island to the sandy beach of Sunj Bay on Lopud’s Southern side. This is the most popular beach of Dubrovnik so we visit it on Monday when it’s not too busy.

Diving mask, snorkel and fins will be provided for you to explore the rich and colorful underwater world of the Adriatic.

A pleasant walk back to the village for dinner takes only half an hour but you are welcome to hike the longer western route through the forest and along the high cliffs edge.

    Breakfast included.

  • Day 4 - Tuesday: Sea kayaking, swimming, snorkeling and walking Kolocep Island

Paddle, swim and snorkel around Kolocep Island, the most interesting for sea kayaking and hiking. It has the most dramatic scenery with hidden dark caves, high cliffs and colourful reefs.

Walk through Gornje Celo and Donje Celo; well preserved romantic Mediterranean villages and along high cliffs. A pleasant noon siesta will take place in the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of Gornje Celo turquoise bay near Skerac – kayaker’s favourite restaurant. Late in the afternoon we shall return to Lopud.

    Breakfast and lunch included.

  • Day 5 - Wednesday: Leisure day, visit Dubrovnik town

    Beach day.

You are free to do whatever you enjoy the most whether it be sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, walking or kayaking. Or simply take the ferry to Dubrovnik, the most beautiful of all Mediterranean towns for sightseeing, shopping in ancient streets, walking along city walls.

Have an ice cream or have a coffee in the best open air bistros along Stradun; the old town’s main street and promenade. Lokrum Island Reserve and its rocky beaches are worth exploring and only about 10 minutes by boat from the old town harbour.

Return to Lopud in the evening.

    Breakfast included

Note: This is the last day of the holiday if you booked the 5-day option.

  • Day 6 - Thursday: Sea kayaking St. Andrija or optional trips

Kayaking and dolphin spotting is the main activity planned for this day.

The exotic Sv. Andrija Island is a favorite spot for thousands of birds, fishermen and dolphins. Or if you prefer, you can participate in 1-day Trebizat river canoeing excursion in Herzegovina including the visit to Mostar, a wonderful old Ottoman empire town and trading post or a boat trip to Mljet Island National Park whose salt water lakes can be explored on foot, by bicycle, canoe or kayak (to be booked and paid locally).

    Breakfast included.

  • Day 7 - Friday: Sea kayaking Trsteno

The last kayaking trip destination is usually Trsteno village and arboretum – a wonderful park with a collection of exotic plants and trees, a Neptune’s fountain and great views of the islands.

A farewell party is planned after sunset of the last evening on Lopud.

    Breakfast and dinner included.

  • Day 8 - Saturday: Departure day

After breakfast transfer to Dubrovnik for home bound flight.

You are welcome to schedule your homeward transport for any time.
