Keeping the costs down on a Ski holiday is never easy when you need to budget for the lift pass and the ski hire and, if you are travelling with the family during the peak holiday dates, it can be a real challenge to keep the budget manageable.
Time to consider the self catered chalet or apartment - there is a wide range of standard but, here at Zenith Holidays, we have searched out the ones that provide the best value - some of them have excellent facilities from hot tubs to swimming pools and some are more basic but we have found the ones where the price is fair for the product offered.
What are the options?
Get your family or friends together and work out how many beds you are looking for - some of the apartments will refer to 2/4 or 4/6 and thgis will generally mean that the number of beds in the apartment will coincide with the lower number but there will be "converted" beds to allow for the higher number - this will be perfect for those working to a tight budget but, if you can stretch your budget, the benefits of the extra space will be preferable.
Self Catered Chalet - this will generally be a stand alone building that will offer all you require for a weeks stay or more - bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen and living area.
Studio apartment - this will be a self contained room in a block (or residence) which provides the kitchen and sleeping area in the same room. These generally offer the least space in terms of square metres but will be the lowest price.
Apartment - this will be a self contained apartment and will be described detailing the number of bedrooms (as in 2 bedroom apartment). Do be aware that many European descriptions refer to the total number of rooms so they would describe a 3 room apartment .....although it would only have 2 bedrooms.
