The Tatras mountains in Slovakia are actually 2 separate mountain ranges - the High Tatras and the Low Tatras. Towering over most of eastern europe the High Tatras mountains include Gerlachovsy at 2654m and Lomnicky Stit at 2634m. The Low Tatras mountains are a little lower than the High Tatras, but still feature peaks of over 2000m and this is where you will find Jasna, Slovakia's largest ski area.
