Jasna
There's a variety of both red and black runs for intermediate skiers as well as some gentle slopes for beginners. The ski area is on the north and south sides of the Chopok mountain. The North side (Chpok North) has most of the pisted runs and you can ski back down to the Grand Hotel Jasna that we feature. The apres ski and bars are on this side of the mountain.
More advanced skiers and boarders will want to head to Chopok South to experience the powder and off piste.
It's a great resort for families as there is a new beginners area (4000 sq m) with 2 beginner lifts and a magic carpet. Maxiland is enclosed making it safe for your children and is only a short walk from the Grand Hotel.
There are some excellent restaurants - on the Jasna side of the mountain try the "Von Roll Lukova" which is in the old cable car station. There's also a new nightclub called Happy End which is spread across 2 floors and can accommodate up to 1000 people.
The new snow park on the Jeleni Grund piste has moving kickers, a beam and a pipeline all designed with fun in mind. You can also hire a sno bike or a ski-fox - both of which are great fun. These are great in the evenings when the night skiing is running and everyone can have fun trying these new snowsports (see Doing More). Night skiing is open every evening during high season and from 1 - 3 times a week during low season. There is access to a blue slope and a red slope.
