Activity tours in the Julian Alps
The Julian Alps are in the North West corner of Slovenia and cover a surface area around 4400 km2. There are approximately 150 mountains over 2000 metres high in the Slovene Julian Alps with the highest being Mount Triglav (2864m)- the highest mountain in Slovenia and is featured on the national flag.
Both the Sava and the Soča rivers rise in the Julian Alps.
The many mountains, valleys, rivers and lakes lend themselves to actitivites such as rafting, canyoning, climbing and mountain biking or if you are looking for a more leisurely holiday there is fishing and easy walking. Many of the hotels also have wellness areas where you can relax in the pools, saunas and jacuzzis or book yourself beauty and massage treatments.
Walk around Lake Bled, take one of the mountain lifts up to see the views from above or take a dip in one of the rivers. The scenery is magnificent with the wild flowers, emerald rivers and stunning mountain panoramas.
