Situated just 6km from the French border, the village of El Formigal is a lively place which suits all levels of skier, but is especially good for families, beginners and intermediates. The ski area is spread over 4 valleys and everyone can enjoy skiing between each of the valleys. Over the last 4 years  there has been a huge investment in Formigal in installing modern lifts and improving the whole resort.

The resort itself is purpose built and a 10 minute bus ride from the slopes. Most hotels have a shuttle bus though or you can take the little train.

Many of the hotels also have thier own spas with hydro-massage pools, steam rooms and saunas as well as a range of massages and beauty treatments. Some hotels (such as the Aragon Hills allow non guests to use the facilities (pay locally).
