Background

Guernsey is an island which is closer to France than the UK, geographically, but it is  part of the Bailiwick of Guernsey. The Bailiwick should be distinguished from the island of Guernsey.

As well as the island of Guernsey itself, the Bailiwick includes the islands of Herm, Jethou, Burhou, Lihou, as well as two other jurisdictions, the island of Alderney and the island of Sark.

The island of Guernsey itself is divided into 10 parishes - the defence of all the islands is the responsibility of the UK but the Bailiwick of Guernsey is not part of the U.K. but rather a collection of separate possessions of the Crown (the islands of Guernsey, Sark, Alderney and Jethou each forming a separate possession).....but, enough of the history, why would you want to viist?

It is an island, with a warmer climate than the UK so you can enjoy a range of activities  outside; on the beach, walking the cliffs, island hopping or dining ‘al fresco’ and watching the world go by.

A wonderful array of stunning scenery and an excellent range of accommodations from which to choose, Guernsey is an excellent holiday destination.

Enjoy inspiring walks along the cliff paths, rambles through the rural interior or lazy days on the island’s beautiful beaches, Guernsey has it all.

St Peter Port, the island’s capital, is a bustling harbour town, a tapestry of architectural styles that tell the story of the region’s changing fortunes. Here bistros, restaurants and boutiques jostle for your attention, while in the harbour ferries are readied to take you to the sister islands.

Golf Holidays in Guernsey

There are a range of golfing options on Guernsey but we would recommend a 4 day break with 3 rounds split between la Grande mare Golf Club and the Royal Guernsey Golf Club.

Packages can be arranged at any of our accommodations and we include a return ferry crossing - cheaper to bring your clubs in the car than fly and pay the excessive baggage fees!

Surf & Sailing Holidays in Guernsey
